School Information

Virtual Academy was formed after the COVID 19 pandemic.  We found that some students are more successful learning from home.  Our district motto is, "What is Best for Children? Every Decision. Every Time." Therefore, to do what is best for all students, GSD created this opportunity. 

Our virtual academy is taught by certified teachers and is overseen by a licensed school administrator.  The academy uses a blended learning approach.  Content is delivered through a virtual platform.  This platform is aligned with the MS College and Career Readiness standards.  The platform monitors student progress and keeps students up-to-date about their grade progress as well as timing progress. Each day, teachers have live discussions with students and answer any problems students are encountering.
